Spartohori

Spartohori village (Σπαρτοχώρι) is a classic Greek island village set above the bay of Spilia. Narrow streets and white washed stone houses, covered in vibrant pink and purple bougainvillea cluster together to form one of the prettiest villages you will find in the Ionian Islands.

The arc shaped village square, Plateia Zampati, known locally as ‘to stefani’ (the crown) must have one of the best locations in all of Greece! It has an amazing panoramic view, taking in the whole view of Lefkada island, the mainland and the offshore private islands including the famous Skorpios.

 

Agios Giorgos Church, Spartohori village

The church is dedicated to the patron of the village, St George. It has an impressive bell tower entrance and a natural balcony at the back of the church with stunning views of Spilia harbour below.

Lakkis Taverna

This traditional blue and white painted family taverna is famous for its Greek night which has featured in articles of various well-known travel guides. On a regular evening, it is the perfect choice for a wedding with plenty of authentic Greek charm and that ‘Mamma Mia’ atmosphere.
